Event setup jobs involve setting up and taking down equipment for events, and may also include other tasks like housekeeping and customer service :
- Setting up : Carrying equipment to the event site, setting up tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, and lighting
- Tearing down : Taking down equipment and supplies after the event
- Housekeeping : Maintaining cleanliness in event spaces
- Customer service : Greeting attendees, answering questions, and helping them navigate the venue
- Safety : Supervising event activities and ensuring the safety of all participants
- Troubleshooting : Resolving complaints or concerns and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the event
Event staff may work in public or corporate settings, and their roles can vary depending on the event.
Event workers often learn skills on the job, and there are usually no formal education requirements. However, they must follow certain safety standards and procedures, and follow guidance from local and federal authorities.
