Guest Service Representative
Part-time and/or Full-time
Duties and responsibilities but are not limited to
- Check guest in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted / fulfilled and accurate information is established.
- Communicate with all departments regarding in house VIP’s and any special needs.
- Thoroughly complete all guest transactions.
- Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events.
- Promote and sell special hotel programs, special rate packages, and upgrades when appropriate.
- Interact with team in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Hotel policies.
- Maintain house bank and handle all checks and cash according to Hotel policies and procedures.
- Communicate all pertinent information to Managers and Supervisors.
- Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
- Solicit guest feedback via guest comment surveys.
- Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, directions to the property etc.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Previous hotel Front Desk experience helpful.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Proficiency in the English language both verbal and written.
- Excellent mathematical skills and previous cash-handling experience helpful.
- Organizational skills including follow-through, problem solving, and communication.
- Knowledgeable of FOSSE property management system (PMS) helpful.
- Ability to work morning, evening and overnight shifts a plus.
Physical
- 8 hours per day at standing desk/computer; stand and walk frequently throughout the workday
- Lift, lower, and maneuver up to 25 pounds occasionally
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Schedule:
- Minimum of 8 hour shift
- Overtime can be offered based on scheduling/business needs
Shift availability:
- Schedule is created based on business needs
- No set scheduling available
- Day Shift (AM) = 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Night Shift (PM) = 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- Overnight Shift = 10:00pm - 6:00am (Optional but openness to overnights is a plus)
