- Master’s Degree in relevant human services field. Ability to assess family functioning, explore risk and safety concerns, identify the strengths and needs of families and identify barriers to reunification. Ability to provide feedback and recommendations regarding family readiness for reunification.
- Senior Counselor (RTFT / PSS) Schedule :
- Full-time position is 40 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule may include some evening and weekend hours to meet the program / family’s needs.
- Salary Range :
- 19.40 - $21.95 per hour depending on experience
- Bilingual
- Spanish / English Fluency
- 20.38- $23.06 per hour depending on experience.

United Services, Inc. Reunification and Therapeutic Family Time (RTFT) program is seeking a full-time Senior Counselor positions to join our dynamic team of professionals. The RTFT program provides support services to identified families to conduct Reunification Readiness Assessments, Reunification Services and Therapeutic Family Time services to DCF referred families throughout the 21-town service area of Northeast CT. Services are offered in the office and in community settings.
The qualified candidate will provide and coordinate supervised visitation between parents and children in foster care placements and develop support networks while facilitating the transition back into parent’s care. This is a supportive team environment where training is provided based on program model. The Senior Counselor RTFT / PSS position requires excellent assessment skills and ability to engage families from diverse backgrounds.
