Position Overview:
The Bar Manager is responsible for managing the Cure Clubhouse on a day to day basis. This includes constant communication with the staff, training of staff on bar procedures, laying out the production week to week and scheduling appropriately. Weekends and evenings are a must for this position, with a typical schedule ranging from Wednesday to Sunday, but with flexibility based on our events schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage FOH staff ensuring completeness and accuracy of work.
- Manage cleanliness behind the bar, inside/outside/behind coolers, walk-ins, liquor room & keg cooler.
- Oversee bar & server staff development & training.
- Manage the inventory in the bar, walk-ins, & dry storage.
- Assist Food & Beverage Director in achieving financial goals through managing cost of goods.
- Ability to create daily drink specials
- Provide leadership as a working manager during games & private events.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption and prevent over-intoxication
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for calculating bills and making change
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Additional projects and assignments as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Five or more years of bartending experience is required.
- Prior management experience.
- TIPS Certified Preferred.
- Ability to teach/train FOH staff.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must project a professional demeanor, pleasant personality, and positive attitude, neat and well-groomed appearance.
- Must be able to change a keg & bib syrup
Typical Physical Demands:
- Regular lifting of 25-75 pounds.
- Extended periods of time standing.
- Walking required.
Typical Working Conditions: Indoor bar/restaurant but also must be able to work outdoors in variable weather including heat and cold.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $15 per hour plus tips
Weekly day range: Weekdays/Weekends/Evenings. Wednesday through Sunday generally but subject to some modification based on game and event schedule at Jimmy John's Field.
