What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Technician USA position at United Shutdown Safety (Texas), Inc?
- Equipment Maintenance: The Shop Technician is responsible for ensuring all equipment owned and operated by USL meets or
exceeds manufacturer’s specifications. They must perform preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment as per manufacturer’s
specifications. This will include cleanliness, calibration, and reporting of non-conforming products. Any equipment that is not deemed to
meet manufacturer’s specifications shall be removed from service and identified to the shop foreman. - Equipment Distribution: The Shop Technician is responsible for the timely and accurate flow of material between our internal destinations and also our clients. Communication with the shop foreman is required to address any needs and all equipment leaving shall be recorded through an equipment checklist. Upon return, all equipment shall be verified against the outgoing equipment checklist and any outstanding items reported to the shop foreman/operations.
- Document and Data Control: Maintaining appropriate records management, including; recording and maintaining equipment inventory;
maintaining equipment maintenance log and any calibration records. Initiate incident reports for non-conforming/missing equipment to
the shop foreman.

- Successful completion of USL Defensive Driving Program
- Must be able to support all shop operations as required
- Must be able to support USL projects as required through operations management

- Must have plant or field experience
Education and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: 6 months - 1 year
- Field experience in an oil/gas, industrial or construction environment
- Electronics or mechanical background is an asset
