Overview :
The CDL Grease Service Technician operates a service truck to provide prompt and complete waste removal for customers at various locations. A valid CDL B driver’s license with Tanker and Air Brakes endorsement is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls.
- Drive the pump truck to and from customer sites and disposal areas.
- Efficiently pump grease from restaurants and commercial tanks, and clean the tanks afterward.
- Follow route sheets for servicing each customer as assigned by the dispatcher or supervisor, taking detailed notes on service tickets.
- Ensure vehicle efficiency by completing required preventative maintenance.
- Adhere to all operational policies, safety standards, and local driving laws to maintain a safe and clean vehicle appearance.
- Keep accurate delivery, vehicle, and driving records, including receipts, tracking information, driver logs, and vehicle performance forms.
- Collaborate closely with the dispatcher to confirm routes and report any issues or changes.
- Engage courteously with customers, supervisors, and colleagues. Submit all required paperwork to the dispatcher promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the truck's exterior and interior, as well as the underframe, tires, and wheels.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
