Overview:
The Lead Yard Ops works under minimal supervision and is responsible for the overall coordination of office activities and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties for the assigned branch. This position traditionally works with the Operations Manager to plan and implement operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service and supports for all operational activities at the yard including data input, typing correspondence, filing, sorting, and mail distribution.
- Receive, screen, and route incoming telephone calls. Answer routine questions, provide information, and work with customers on orders for products or services
- May be assigned a list of customers for which customer service will be provided. Activities may include calling out to customers to take orders, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Work with the Operations Manager to coordinate logistical activities between sales and operations at the yard
- Resolve customer complaints regarding products and service quality and escalates issues to the Operations Manager as required. Keep the Operations Manager well informed of activities, results of efforts, and potential problems and recommend corrective actions
- Gather and process all operational and sales data related to the yard. Input work order information, perform research, and maintain files and records for the yard, generating reports as requested
- Provide internal customer service to drivers and yard personnel assigned to the yard. Maintain daily contact with the drivers on work orders, service quality issues, new sales opportunities, and reconcile all work order tickets, ensuring that notes have been properly documented and submitted to the posting department daily
- Work with the posting department to resolve issues
- Act as a liaison between yard and division and coordinates HR activities (new hires, special projects, etc.) for the yard by partnering with the regional HR representative
- Maintain and reconcile POs and submit them to the Operations Manager for approval
- Provide backup payroll support for the Operations Manager
- Manage and order supplies for the yard within budget guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
