About Us: Pier 2 Roller Rink, located within Brooklyn Bridge Park, offers an exceptional outdoor roller-skating experience with panoramic views of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty. As a premier destination for both locals and tourists, we are committed to providing a fun and safe environment for all our guests.
Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic Birthday Hosts to ensure that each guest enjoys an unforgettable birthday celebration at our rink. This role involves organizing and supporting birthday parties, delivering exceptional service, and contributing to a vibrant atmosphere.
Reports To: Birthday Manager, Current Session Manager
Employment Type: Part-Time (Up to 25 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a clean, enjoyable, friendly, and safe experience to all guests.
- Maintain the schedule of assigned birthday parties to ensure timely proceedings.
- Present additional offerings, such as unlimited soda packages for adults, to birthday party organizers.
- Engage with the birthday child during special moments, including visits to the DJ Booth and the candle-lighting ceremony.
- Attend to the needs of birthday parents and guests, ensuring a pleasant experience.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food for birthday parties.
- Support other rink operations as needed to maintain a smooth workflow.
Position Details:
- Location: Pier 2 Roller Skating Rink, Brooklyn Bridge Park, 150 Furman Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
- Hours: Part-time, primarily on weekends with occasional weekday shifts.
- Compensation: $16.50 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or event hosting is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and some weekdays.
