Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data processing applications using Hadoop ecosystem tools.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Utilize Apache Hive for data warehousing solutions and ensure efficient querying of large datasets.
- Develop ETL processes using Talend or similar tools to integrate data from various sources.
- Optimize existing processes for performance improvements using Spark and Java.
- Create RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other applications.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and workflows for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hadoop Developer or similar role in big data environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for database querying and management.
- Experience with Spark for real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with Apache Hive for data warehousing solutions.
- Knowledge of database design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Java programming language is preferred.
- Experience with VBA or Shell Scripting is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
