Requirements :
Sacramento County Department of Technology is seeking a SQL Database Administrator with
expertise in performance tuning, indexing, SQL Clustering, T-SQL, SSRS, and PowerBI. Responsibilities
include maintaining data collection and sharing processes, developing SSRS reports and Power BI
Dashboards, optimizing database processes, building stored procedures, views, and functions to
support database interactions by applications, services, reports and dashboards. This contractor
works closely with all members of the Business Analysis and Applications Development Teams as
well as the end user customers. An expert level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL
Server databases, SSRS, and PowerBI is required. This position provides opportunities to contribute
to the engineering of new systems and re-engineering of old ones.
- CRITICAL SKILLS :
- Install configure and maintain SQL Server Clusters and PowerBI Report Server.
- Monitor and optimize SQL performance.
- Develop complex data extracts, applications, reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc queries by using TSQL.
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues.
- Work within the project team to assist with system analysis and application design.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and customers to refine requirements, and ensure data
quality.
