Summary
Responsible for handling day-to-day IT functions including maintenance, hardware, software, user support, projects, and network administration tasks for a group of 30-40 workstations and laptops, some working remote. Also responsible for on-site project management assignments.
Responsibilities
- User Support:
o Responsible for handling all day-to-day employee hardware and software issues, including PCs, laptops, tablets, and printers onsite and offsite, primarily Windows-based.
o First point of contact for employees to troubleshoot issues.
o Software installation, updates and staff training, particularly new hires.
o Workstation and laptop deployments.
o Experience with Office 365 and other Windows-based software, mostly word processing, email and spreadsheet apps.
o Network printer troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Network Administration:
o Coordinate with third party monitoring company to ensure network is performing efficiently and securely.
o Coordinate with third party monitoring company to configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.
o Microsoft Windows Servers.
o VMWare.
- Hardware and Maintenance:
o Maintaining and repairing computer hardware, including desktops and laptops.
o Upgrading and replacing components as needed.
o Responsible for recycling of old units and accessories.
- IT Project Implementation and Coordination:
o Work with third party vendor to complete on-going projects.
- Manage and implement Inspire software that is used for our Imports division as well as our Custom Pack processes.
- Inspire Proprietary Software- working knowledge. Master the functioning of our imports and domestic services and sales
- Work with our Inspire developer on fixes and new features.
- Assist in the implementation of the Inspire software for inventory management.
o Work with in-house staff to champion and ensure successful completion of projects.
o Responsible for tracking all IT equipment throughout the company.
o Other duties as assigned.
- Software Management and Solutions:
o Responsible for learning and maintaining off-the-shelf and proprietary software.
o Employee orientation and limited training on software.
o Resolving software issues.
- Project Management:
o Estimate resources, budget, and time required to complete tasks.
o Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.
o Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
o Maintain detailed documentation of project scope, decisions, changes, and progress.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate's Degree in the Information Technology field.
- At least four years’ hands-on experience.
- Experience with Windows-based office software as well as some proprietary business software.
- Business-level written and verbal communication skills.
