SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The role reports directly to the Senior designer / developer and includes supporting the fit process from design to TOP approval, setting up full tech packs and POMs, measuring and preparing samples for fittings, taking detailed fit notes, generating construction guidelines and clear fit comments to vendors under the direction of the Senior designer.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent attention to detail. The candidate is highly organized and can balance multiple projects at once with strong time management skills. The candidate works efficiently, taking the initiative and giving all to a project no matter how big or small.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Receive Tech pack hand off from Design and oversee all documentation updates and communication
- Manage time for development process by transforming a designer’s sketch and tech pack into a commercially viable product
- Set up measurement charts and grading
- Manage the fit process from prototype to T.O.P. ensuring consistency across styles and factories
- Manage communication directly with factories to create prototypes, test new applications, refine the product’s construction, and fit.
- Develop and maintain current WIP reports and BOM index that result in a daily understanding of each item “in work” with an up-to-date trackable status of each item.
- Review factory prototypes with designer and clearly communicate fit, construction and tech pack updates to factories and ensure proper execution.
- Manage all aspects of fittings, construction, and technical issues
- Interface closely with internal partners to resolve any design / quality issues that arise during the development process.
- Working closely with sales team in creating custom items based on existing styles for pro teams and players.
- Review all sales orders and allocate factory production for custom styles.
- Ensure that the development process meets projects’ key phase approval dates and milestones.
- Manage and ensure each prototype and sale sample are delivered on timely approvals to ensure United Sports Brand quality standards.

Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with ability to : be in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access fine cabinets, office machinery (such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.); constantly operate a computer; occasionally ascend / descend stairs; constantly position self to maintain files in file cabinets; the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations; the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feed of the observer); and frequently move boxes weighing up to 15 lbs pounds across office for various needs. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions if projects / opportunities arise. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
