Physical Therapist – Retirement Community – Independent Living Facility
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in staffing, is representing a Senior Living Retirement Community seeking an experienced resident-centered Physical Therapist for a temporary position beginning immediately for about 8 weeks with the possibility of extension beyond 8 weeks.
The schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm. The position is located conveniently at an award-winning retirement community in Silver Spring, MD. No driving or travel required. All patients on campus within walking distance. Pay rate is $70-$75/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities for the Physical Therapist:
- Providing a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs.
- Implementing residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents’ strengths, preferences, and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging.
- Working with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care.
- Assisting seniors/residents with physical therapy needs including 5-6 points/day. 1 pt for each routine visit, 2.5 pts for an OASIS assessment/start of care, 1.5 pts for discharge OASIS and recertifications
Requirements for the Physical Therapist:
- Degree and training must meet current Medicare and state requirements.
- Must possess a valid and current state of Maryland Physical Therapy license.
- Must have Medicare-certified home care experience
- Current CPR certification
- Experience and the ability to complete documentation to meet reimbursement and regulatory requirements.
- Therapeutic experience in older adults across multiple diagnostic groups is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
