OCB International Multimedia Journalist (Internet) - Level II
Primary responsibilities : Performs digital journalism services in Spanish.Writes news and feature content as assigned for use in broadcasts and web / social media, ensuring alignment with OCB's digital strategy and editorial objectives.Conducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in his / her assigned storiesResearches and confirms facts in stories produced by self or by others, as assignedPossesses strong storytelling abilities.Adapts and / or translates content produced in English into native language, as assignedVersions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assignedParticipates in the creation and development of web and social media sections, as assigned. May participate in development or Radio and / or TV programs as assigned.Contributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and / or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material and static graphics, as assignedPerforms technical functions including operation of equipment, as assignedContributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as neededMeets OCB standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlinesCreates work that that is accurate and balanced and conforms to the VOA / OCB Journalism News Standards & Best Practices GuideServes as videographer or reporter, as assignedWorks independently as a member of a teamLogs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with OCB's digital asset management systemFluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus fluency in English (written / spoken)Other related duties as assigned
