Job Summary
A Case Administrator performs operational, financial, clerical, courtroom services, and administrative functions and works in a team setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dedication to public service and desire to help others through the delivery of excellent customer service, an initiative, and the ability to work independently, good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through, multi-task and adapt to fast-changing priorities
Duties
o Performs quality control of documents filed electronically by external users via Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system to assure accuracy, timeliness and quality of data entered.
o Reviews filed documents for conformity with Federal and Local Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.
o Receives documents for filing at the public counter and through the mail.
o Generates/Prepares documents and electronically files them via CM/ECF.
o Runs reports and examines cases to ensure the completion of required procedural steps.
o Assists external users of the CM/ECF system.
o Processes incoming and outgoing mail and maintains daily log.
o Performs cashier and reconciliation duties, which include receipt of filing fees and issuance of receipts, balancing the cash register at the end of the day, and maintenance of daily logs.
o Answers inquiries from the public via telephone, public intake counter, Teams Video and Remote Operations Center transmissions.
o Communicates effectively with judicial staff, attorneys, other federal agencies, and the public regarding procedures and certain case-related information without giving legal advice.
o Serves as backup Courtroom Deputy and/or Electronic Court Recorder, as needed.
o Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
o Travels occasionally between divisional offices as required based on operational need of the Clerk's Office.
Skills
o Previous experience in bankruptcy or a legal field.
o Familiarity with CM/ECF.
o A degree from an accredited institution.

Pay: $43,414.00 - $53,839.00 per year
