Principal Responsibilities:
Potential duties will vary based on major and skills. Below are examples of work assignments:
Technical Learning Enhancements
- Review existing technical operations training curriculum and make recommendations for improvements.
- With guidance from subject matter experts, lead a project delivering online modularized operations learning content utilizing an industry leading tool for creating eLearning materials.
Digitalization
- Support executing digitalization project efforts for the Messer Remote Operations Center; streamlining and digitizing existing paper-based processes for enhanced effectiveness and transparency.
- Support efforts to enhance transparency of plant operations, efficiency and safety using Messer’s key operational systems.
- Participate in operational data analysis to provide insights into plant capabilities and efficiency monitoring.
Required Skills:
- Undergraduate
- Qualifying majors of study:
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering (Preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering)
- Must be innovative, analytical, and self-motivated to complete tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and have the ability to learn computer-based applications.
- Strong analytical abilities and data management, innovative and process orientated.
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
Qualifications
- Ability to travel at a minimum (Travel requirements will be minimal and likely limited to Northeast Region)
- Prior co-op or internship experience a plus
- Extracurricular activities that show leadership skills considered
