As a fast-paced, dynamic, global accounting team of a public company we are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company's accounting activities. We are seeking a high-performing, innovative and results-oriented person to join the team. As an Accountant, you will participate in all activities related to full-cycle accounting of the Spark business. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and will be part of a high caliber Accounting and Finance team. The Accountant will help ensure that all accounting activities are recorded timely and accurately. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, pro-active, eager to learn and contribute to the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct month-end closing process
- Prepares month-end, quarterly and year-end closings, journal entries and account reconciliations for review
- Prepare monthly closing files for fixed assets, prepaids, accruals etc.
- Prepare Payroll and Benefit related journal entries, bank account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions
- Prepare supporting documentation for monthly variance analyses
- Respond to information requests and assist with audits
- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed
