Here's a summary of responsibilities :
Under the direction and supervision of the Sr. Health Care Service Provider (HCSP) – PT provides injury and illness evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of athletes to support sustained competitive excellence. Complete all Fellowship educational and mentoring requirements. Upon assignment, serve in the capacity of Sports Medicine staff at USOPC-sponsored events and ALL three (3) Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (OPTC) Sports Medicine Clinics.

Complete all Fellowship requirements, including participation in assigned educational, didactics, venue coverage, mentorship opportunities, and standard clinical practice hours.Coordinate and execute special projects related to educational experiences and Sports Medicine needs. At least one project is to be completed and submitted for presentation at a national conference.Perform as an HCSP for athletes and NGBs as assigned. Health care includes emergency care, examining and evaluating injuries and illnesses, and developing and applying care plans for rehabilitation programs using active care, therapeutic modalities, manual treatments, and the athlete management platform.Participate in maintaining emergency standards for sports medicine clinical staff, including emergency equipment, emergency response management, and Emergency Action Plans.Perform as a high-performance medical team member and participate in the functions and activities essential to clinic operations. Assist in developing and maintaining professional working relationships with Sport Performance partners, NGBs, coaches, athletes, and others to maintain and enhance athletes’ performance, health, and well-being.Participate in the daily care of athletes, including performance enhancement, injury and illness prevention, rehabilitation services, and sports coverage.Provide patient care activities as needed in accordance with the licensure, scope of practice, standards, and functions of their professional licensure, job description, and standards for appropriate practice, including clinical competency and documentation.Gain and maintain knowledge of up-to-date techniques for performance enhancement, athletic injury prevention, acute treatment, rehabilitation, and on-field emergency management.Provide in-person medical support for elite athletes at all three (3) OPTC medical clinics.Record and enter athlete medical data into the Electronic Medical Record system promptly to maintain athlete medical records.Operate and maintain equipment as permitted by and in accordance with local and state regulations.Maintain active licensure and compliance with medical / legal requirements for the States of employment and any other States in which the individual supports the USOPC or NGB at sporting events or activities.Maintain compliance with IOC / IPC, WADA, USADA, and the Olympic & Paralympic Code to provide elite sports medicine care for each athlete.Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective :
When applicable, state licensure in the field of expertise must be obtained and continuously maintained throughout employment. No infractions or disciplinary sanctions are acceptable before or during employment.Master’s degree in Athletic TrainingState Licensure for the state of employmentCurrent Health Care Provider CPR certificationDocumented experience working with elite high-performance athletes.2 years of clinical experienceMinimum 1 year of clinical experience in sports medicine after licensureExcellent oral and written communication skills, including medical documentation.Knowledge of medical charting and experience with electronic health records.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs and technologiesMust possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population, including athletes, coaches, administrative staff, physicians, volunteers, and other medical personnel.Knowledge in the areas of :Injury / illness prevention and treatment
