Here's a summary of responsibilities:
In collaboration with our Operations team, the Operations Assistant will run the Lake Placid Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (LPOPTC) front desk after, but not limited to, regular business hours. During this time, the Operations Assistant will be the main point of contact for those onsite users who may need assistance.
Here's how you'll have an impact:
o Register all training center guests, including verifying signatures on all forms via online paperwork system and verifying participants are at least 12 years old, making sure that birthdates are present on paperwork to avoid duplicating records in the CRM database, verifying SafeSport completion dates are entered when applicable, issuing ID cards to all guests residing in the athlete center, and giving informative orientation on policies and procedures for the LPOPTC.
o For users under the age of 18, support guardians to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed for program participation.
o Enter and maintain all biographical data on all individuals that come through the training center into the CRM computer system. Accuracy is of utmost importance in that many USOPC departments use this information as a main resource for reports and mailings. Adjust rooming assignments and add unexpected program participants in the CRM system to programs through the direction of Operations team.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a sport-related field, preferably in a service-related position
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact and collaborate with a variety of individuals at all levels and from all backgrounds
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all situations

Here's some more information you need to know:
- Hiring Pay Range: $18.63 - $20.00 per hour.
- This full-time, non-exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
- Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 5% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
