What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR position at United States Senate?
Senator Alsobrooks seeks an Administrative Director for her fast-paced Washington, DC office. This person will report to the Chief of Staff and be responsible for the management of all administrative functions of the office including preparation, oversight and implementation of the annual budget; monitoring of all official accounts and submitting vouchers to Senate Disbursing Office; implementing administrative office policies and operating procedures; maintaining office policy manual and updating when necessary; maintaining personnel and payroll files on permanent staff and interns; manage and oversee staff assistants and Director of IT; tracking staff leave and travel records; oversight of the intern program; acting as primary point of contact for Senate support regarding all non-legislative business; order and maintain supplies and office equipment and, serving as the office emergency coordinator. Candidates should be well organized, detail oriented, a self-starter, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks and follow through, and can work with members of the team at all levels. Management experience and knowledge of Senate budgetary guidelines, human resource practices and ethics rules and/or previous congressional administrative experience strongly preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
