What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR position at United States Senate?
The Office of US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks an experienced Administrative Director to manage operations and personnel matters for their Senate office. This person will report to the Deputy Chief of Staff, serve as part of the office’s senior management team, and will be responsible for all office administrative functions for DC and NY offices including: maintaining office accounts and paying all bills; implementing office policies and operating procedures; maintaining personnel and payroll files; onboarding and offboarding staff, fellows and interns; supervising the office’s administrative staff; managing front office and other constituent-facing operations; serving as the office’s primary liaison to the Senate’s support agencies; and other duties as assigned. Candidates should be organized, meticulous, solutions-oriented, and should have excellent interpersonal and communication instincts. Management experience and knowledge of Senate budgetary guidelines, human resource practices, Senate Ethics guidance, and/or previous congressional administrative experience strongly preferred.
