Job Description
The Target Salary Range for this position is : $139,000-$180,000
As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will be a subject matter expert in the technologies that support the Cybersecurity Department, responsible for ensuring the functionality, security, and optimization of Senate information systems and networks. Your role involves providing expert guidance on cybersecurity architecture, engaging with emerging technologies, and supporting the Senate's cybersecurity mission through strategic oversight, technical expertise, and complex problem-solving. You will be a key contributor to enhancing the Senate's cybersecurity systems, collaborating with internal and external teams, and supporting a customer-focused, high-impact cybersecurity program.
Key Accountabilities / Essential Job Duties
Serves as an internal consultant and advisor in own area of expertise (e.g., technology, tools, standards, best practices, processes, etc.). Supports assigned supervisor on overall enterprise information security architecture with the organization's overall security strategy. Interprets and advises the assigned supervisor on appropriate application of laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific issues. Provides support to the assigned supervisor in the development of cyber operations specific indicators measuring success and attainment of team goals and objectives. Provides support to the team for planning / developmental forums and working groups as appropriate. Interprets patterns of noncompliance to determine their impact on levels of risk and / or overall effectiveness of the team's cybersecurity mission and objectives. Other duties as assigned.
