What are the responsibilities and job description for the EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT position at United States Senate?
Midwest Republican Senator has an Executive Assistant position opening in the Washington, D.C. office. Qualified candidates will have one to two years of Congressional or other administrative experience and be highly organized and detail-oriented. This position provides select administrative, clerical and office support to the Chief of Staff and Director of Scheduling. Specific responsibilities include collecting, organizing, and compiling the Senator’s nightly briefing book; coordinating and executing special events and projects, and assisting the Chief of Staff with their schedule. Applicants must be able to work well in a team environment; exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality; have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, be proficient working with technology, and have experience working with IQ or another constituent database. This position requires an individual who can be diplomatic, remain professional at all times, exercise sound and independent judgment, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
