JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description The Target Salary Range for this position is: $139,009-$175,000 We are seeking a results-driven Technology Solutions Architect to provide technical guidance in support of the Senate’s Financial System. The Senate Financial System is comprised of PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and a Kubernetes-based application. This position will also work closely with the Senate’s Payroll team which utilizes PeopleSoft HCM. Work involves managing the software architecture for Java-based applications and then working closely with stakeholders to manage updates, enhancements, integrations and testing. The candidate will work with business owners to ensure that the application has capability to meet requirements and collaborate with other departments to ensure technical infrastructure is supported in a cost-effective manner; identifying and assisting in process improvements and automation; and assessing risks or changes affecting the systems and determining appropriate action plans.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Job Duties
Acts as a senior team leader responsible for structuring complex solutions and delivering IT services. Provides technical guidance and architectural recommendations for designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure applications, systems, and services. Provides long-range strategic planning activities for the Senate in the areas of modern IT systems and services. Monitors the impact of technological developments; identifies emerging technologies and scopes potential Senate utility. Leads product evaluations and technical studies and task forces; directs pilot testing programs; analyzes new technology for its impact on the Senate environment; tests new releases on Senate supported platforms; develops product configuration standards for use in the Senate environment; recommends strategic direction for the Senate. Creates and reviews system architectures; analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will be effectively integrated with current applications. Acts as a technical leader and mentor to implementation teams and collaborate across the organization to provide leadership and guidance on technical solutions; Collaborates across organizations in the creation of valuable technology solutions.

Desired Qualifications Work experience in custom application development in an Agile Scrum environment is desirable. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of six years of related technical project management experience including six years of experience managing development teams, and a demonstrated history of successful implementation, and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Working Conditions Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
To be employed by a Senate employing office in a paid position in the continental United States an individual must:
