Position Description
We are seeking a highly organized, dynamic, and enthusiastic Project Manager to join the U.S. Soccer Federation’s Brand & Creative team. As a crucial player in our fast-paced environment, you will act as an account manager and traffic coordinator, liaising between internal departments vendors, partners, and to ensure smooth project management. You will be responsible for developing and up keeping project schedules, timelines and deliverable estimates, maintaining workflow records, and securing feedback/approvals. Bring your excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to help us make soccer the preeminent sport in the United States. The position requires someone who can ideate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, think on their feet, operate swiftly in the fast-paced environment of international soccer, and creatively connect with internal stakeholders to achieve both brand and business goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, including asset delivery and final production.
- Receive and log project requests, tracking their status within our systems.
- Coordinate with our Brand and Creative team and external agency for the distribution of assignments and assets.
- Gather and collect assets from internal and external stakeholders to fast project production.
- Collaborate closely with the Brand and Creative team to balance workloads and establish timelines, scopes of work and clear deliverables.
- Collaborate on strategy with digital and social teams to create video content that resonates with fans and serves federation goals.
- Negotiate printing and product pricing, ensuring cost-effective processes.
- Manage Brand and Creative Digital Accounts, including time tracking (Toggl), project management (Asana Notion), and proofing (PageProof) software.
- Communicate effectively with Brand and Creative team members and project teams, providing updates on project status.
- Distribute final production files to stakeholders, vendors and clients.
- Archive completed projects and proofs for future reference.
- Works closely with USSF employees across the organization to refine requests into clear creative deliverables.
- Collaborates with USSF employees across the organization to ensure creative best practices and procedures are being met.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of active employment as a Project Manager.
- Prior experience in working with creative teams, direct design experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of time tracking and project management software, such as Asana, Toggl, Page Proof, Notion, Slack, and Formsite.
- Basic understanding of creating dynamic creative request forms.
- Experience in managing client relationships, understanding client needs, and meeting deadlines.
- Proven experience working collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with soccer
- Quick learner who can function well in the fast-paced environment mandated by sports.
- Previous agency experience is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to Atlanta by January, 2025
- General knowledge of soccer
- Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
- Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
