Position: Youth Volleyball Instructor - Monterey Park
The United States Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) is actively seeking a dedicated Youth Volleyball Instructor (Clinician) to join our team for the Spring 2025 season in Monterey Park!
At USYVL, we are committed to impacting the lives of over 10,000 children annually across more than 100 communities. Our mission is to ensure that every child between the ages of 7 and 15 has the opportunity to learn and play volleyball in a supportive, safe, and enjoyable environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinician with USYVL, you will have access to training, certification, and continued education to enhance your coaching skills, paving the way for further career advancement in youth sports education.
This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of twice a week for the full eight-week season, from April 8, 2025, to June 7, 2025, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, in addition to attending a parent meeting and a coaching clinic.
Compensation includes a stipend paid at the conclusion of the eight-week season, commensurate with experience and duration of service. Orientation and training sessions will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped for the role.

- Maintain effective communication with the USYVL National Office regarding program updates and needs.
- Attend essential training meetings and lead a coaching clinic spanning two hours.
- Proven experience in coaching or playing volleyball at the high school, club, college, or higher level.
- Strong ability to demonstrate proper volleyball fundamentals and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and their parents.
- Outstanding organizational skills for coordinating game days and training sessions.
- A positive and enthusiastic demeanor, particularly in engaging with youth.
- Experience in coaching or participating in volleyball at the high school level or higher is essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through sports.
