Job Overview

The United States Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach) for our Ojai Spring 2025 program. With a commitment to fostering a passion for volleyball, USYVL serves over 10,000 young athletes across more than 100 communities, providing a fun and safe environment for children aged 7 to 15.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise site volunteer coaches in the fundamental skills of volleyball.
• Demonstrate proper volleyball techniques to enhance player development.
• Organize and manage home and inter-site game days.
• Maintain communication with the USYVL National Office.
• Attend a training meeting and conduct a 2-hour coaching clinic.
• Commit to coaching sessions twice a week throughout the eight-week season.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and techniques.
• Excellent communication abilities to engage with both children and adult volunteers.
• Capability to work effectively with children aged 7-15 in a team setting.
• Leadership experience in a coaching or similar environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or playing volleyball at the high school, club, college, or higher levels.
• Proven track record of engaging and instructing young athletes.

Compensation And Benefits

Compensation for the Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach) position will be determined based on experience and the duration of the season. Orientation, training, and educational opportunities will be provided.
