The United States Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach) for our Spring 2025 program in Wichita, Kansas. USYVL is committed to providing children aged 7 to 15 with the opportunity to learn and participate in volleyball in a vibrant, safe, and structured environment. Our organization serves over 10,000 youth across more than 100 communities each year.
Job Overview
We are in search of an individual who possesses a strong background in coaching and/or playing volleyball at varying levels, including high school, club, or college. Proficient recreational volleyball players are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will embody reliability, positivity, and enthusiasm, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for young athletes.
Key Responsibilities
All clinicians will receive comprehensive orientation, training, certification, and continued education, presenting an avenue for professional development and skill enhancement in the field of coaching.
Compensation
The compensation for the Head Volleyball Coach position will be commensurate with experience and the duration of the season.
Time Commitment
Anticipated commitment includes two sessions per week throughout the full eight-week season, from April 2, 2025, to May 21, 2025. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, along with participation in a parent meeting and coaching clinic.

- Instruct and oversee site volunteer coaches in delivering team instruction on volleyball fundamentals.
- Demonstrate proper volleyball techniques to participants.
- Organize and coordinate home and inter-site game days.
- Maintain open communication with the USYVL National Office.
- Attend a training meeting to align with program standards.
- Conduct a 2-hour coaching clinic as part of the training.
- Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Capability to lead and mentor volunteer coaches.
- Passion for teaching and developing young athletes.
