Praters, a well-established food manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Food Safety Technician that can effectively contribute to the organization’s day to day quality program.
- Conduct day to day assurance functions in the facility
- Carry out day to day technician functions according to company policies and procedures
- Work for extended periods of time on the production floor
- Monitor all programs associated with BRC certification are implemented on the floor
- Conduct monitoring, verification, and validation activities to ensure that all products leaving the facility meet the facility Food Safety and Quality Plans
- Address potential deviation in a prompted and effective manner
- Consistently monitor and evaluate the facility for Good Manufacturing Practices
- Effectively communicate to team members and management in areas relating to quality and food safety
- Keep a data base of all daily testing in hard copy and on the computer for further referral
- Work with management to reduce potential sources of contamination in plant
- Implement and maintain Quality Food Safety policies and procedures
- Maintain and implement key quality control principles during production
- Other duties as assigned by management
- At least 2 years experience in food manufacturing
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, flexible and able to prioritize and respond to changing needs of the business
- HACCP training and experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling and storage is a plus
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to effectively communicate with regulatory offices, customers, partners, team members, and management concerning day to day plant activities
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
