USPI’s Norman Endoscopy Center is looking for a talented Full Time GI Tech to join the team! Our mission at Norman Endoscopy Center is to provide high quality gastrointestinal services to each and every patient in a safe, convenient, congenial environment. No weekends, Nights or Holidays!
POSITION SUMMARY :
Is responsible for cleaning and processing of endoscopes and accessories. Assists the physician, RN and LPN with Endoscopy procedures and patient care. Ensures instrumentation is available for use when needed.
Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. High school education or equivalent.
2. Certificate as Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, but not required. 3 Previous experience in Endoscopy processing. Training may be provided.
4. Has completed, or actively working on, the SGNA Associate Program for GI Technicians. It is desirable that the technician completes the program within 2 years of hire.
5. Current BLS or the desire to obtain.
6. Good command of the English language.
7. The ability to maintain endoscopes properly.
8. The ability to assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN in Pre / Post Procedure.
9. Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required.
10. The ability to work well with others and take instruction.
