Intracoastal Surgery Center is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician
Intracoastal Surgery Center was designed with the goal of providing the best experience for patients and their loved ones.
The facility has two large operating rooms that are equipped with the latest in advanced surgical technology. It also has one procedure room specifically created to provide the highly trained medical staff with the flexibility and tools needed for minimally invasive surgery.
Intracoastal Surgery Center is a Florida state licensed out patient surgical facility established in 2018. We are conveniently located in Brevard County.
Specialties :Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or GED required
- Computer skills, required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
- Six months of experience, preferred
- 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam / gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
