The Business Office Assistant assists the Business Office Manager with the daily operations of the business office.
Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.
Position requires weekdays with an occasional Saturday morning to meet business needs. No holidays or on call.

The Business Office Assistant assists the Business Office Manager with the daily operations of the business office.

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
- Good communication skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Knows, adheres to, and enforces all policies of the business office
- Assist business office manager with supervising of business office employees and processes
- Responsible for the orientation and training of registration and front office staff.
- Responsible for taking deposits to the bank as needed; backup to the BOM.
- Informs business office manager of applicable day-to-day situations
- Follows all equipment safety guidelines and is personally responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment
- Assist business manager with overall strategic planning of the business office
- Assist the Business Office Manager to develop and maintain policies & procedures and systems to minimize DSO and the rate of bad debt and increase the productivity of related operations
- Perform other activities as requested by the business manager, and assume other appropriate operational responsibilities as necessary.
