Front Desk Receptionist needed for busy, multispecialty ASC, Marion Surgery Center in Ocala, Florida. - Greeting patients
- Performing check-in procedures
- Provides support to administrative office staff assuring a smooth departmental work flow
- Responsible for performing daily tasks such as sorting mail, assembling charts, posting payments, answering phone and routing incoming calls, filing, copying, data entry, and other similar duties, using a computer terminal
- May start as early as 6 a.m. –powering up computers, checking phone messages, etc
- Performing office opening procedures, petty cash balancing, co-pay/co-insurance collection, and assisting patients as needed
- Relieves office staff of clerical work, and minor administrative and business detail
- Maintaining current demographic and insurance information in computer and in the chart
- Must possess a High School Diploma or higher
- A working knowledge of medical terminology
- Minimum 1-2 years of medical front desk and medical records experience required
- Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner
