Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the PACU staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to high clinical standards.
- Monitor patient care processes, assess outcomes, and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and support nursing staff in the PACU, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing education/training.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other team members to maintain efficient workflows and ensure exceptional patient care.
- Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including policies related to infection control and patient safety.
- Manage department resources effectively, including supplies, staffing levels, and budget adherence.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
- Graduate of accredited school of Nursing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in PACU or perioperative care; prior management experience strongly preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on team collaboration and patient satisfaction.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for ambulatory surgery centers.
- No weekends, nights, or call required—enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.
