Two to five years experience specific to surgical radiological examOrtho and Spine experience requiredKnowledge, Skills And Abilities
Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patientsDemonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment / service and to provide education information to patients / families in age group servedAbility to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
The OR Radiology Technician operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS and prepares patients room, equipment, and supplies.Provides patient services using imaging modalities.Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination : documents and deviationPractices surgical aseptic proceduresInvestigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with DirectTakes emergency call as assigned
