We are seeking a dedicated RN OR to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. Key Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care and service during surgery cases
- Responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case
- Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
- Interdependent Partnering
- Good communication and human relations skills
- Mastering Complexity
- Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
- Ability to master new skills.
- Technical/Functional
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
- Current nursing assessment and patient care skills.
- Telemetry experience necessary
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Currently licensed in the state.
- CPR certified. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified.
- One year experience required intra-operative setting
- Critical Care or PACU experience preferred.
