1st Shift Production Supervisor

Description

PepperBall, located in Lake Forest, IL, is the world’s most trusted non-lethal law enforcement solution. With over 20 years of experience and millions of projectiles safely deployed, PepperBall systems provide officers with time and distance to assess and respond to critical situations, reducing the risk of resorting to lethal force. We are seeking a full-time, on-site Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production tasks, create and manage production schedules, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee Daily Production Tasks:
   • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure efficient operation.
   • Maintain a high level of product quality and adherence to safety standards.
2. Create and Manage Production Schedules:
   • Develop, implement, and adjust production schedules to meet production targets and customer requirements.
   • Ensure timely and accurate production to meet delivery deadlines.
3. Production Planning:
   • Plan production activities to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
   • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
4. Team Communication and Leadership:
   • Communicate effectively with team members to relay important information and updates.
   • Provide leadership, training, and support to production staff to enhance team performance.
5. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
   • Identify and resolve production issues promptly to avoid disruptions.
   • Implement corrective actions to improve production processes and efficiency.
6. Maintain a Fast-Paced Work Environment:
   • Ensure the production floor operates effectively in a fast-paced environment.
   • Adapt to changing production demands and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements:

• Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to supervise and lead a team in a production environment.
• Production Scheduling: Experience in creating and managing production schedules.
• Production Planning: Strong skills in planning production activities and optimizing resources.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team interaction.
• Production Management: Demonstrated experience in managing production processes and ensuring quality.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team and foster a collaborative environment.
• Availability: Must be available to work on weekends when needed.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word (Microsoft W) and other relevant software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing or similar production environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to implement and oversee quality control measures.
