Position Overview : As a Project Manager, you play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects. Your proven expertise and track record in managing, coordinating, and successfully executing construction projects will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management :

  • Lead all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout, to meet project requirements and deliverables.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and management of project resources to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assist in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing and change orders.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts and change orders with clients and subcontractors.
  • Process RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, daily job reports and other required forms.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for materials, ensure utility mark-outs are completed, perform field measurements and track quantities.
  • Ensure production activities are optimized to the project budget, schedule, safety, and ease of operations, while maintaining profit and loss responsibility.
  • As the primary point of contact, you will communicate updates, manage expectations and coordinate the efforts between all project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, consultants, GC’s, subcontractors, suppliers, workers and senior management.
  • Collaborate with in-house estimators on pre-bid activities, bid proposals, and oversee documentation, permits, and pre-construction meetings.

Risk Management, Safety & Quality Control :

  • Monitor project progress, identify and address project risks and challenges, develop strategies and implement action plans to solve issues that arise.
  • Serve as a Safety Officer to maintain compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA policies and other applicable safety standards at the jobsite.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure that all construction is conducted in compliance with company policies, safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Requirements :

  • 2 years of PM or assistant PM experience related to DOT, civil construction, highway, residential development, commercial or industrial construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects with values ranging from $50K to $5M.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, business management or related field.
  • PMP certification (or actively pursuing) is a plus.
  • OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial construction equipment, methods, materials, blueprint reading, specification review and safety regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively in person, via email, text, or phone.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and construction / project management, estimating or takeoff software.
  • Regular jobsite visits throughout NJ and Greater NYC area are required, including the demands of walking the jobsite around heavy equipment, uneven terrain and challenging weather conditions.
  • A valid driver’s license and a driving history that meets our insurance company standards is required.
