The selected intern will need to report onsite at the Durham, NC office for the entire program duration, which runs from May through August 2025. Interns are responsible for arranging their housing and transportation. 2025 Internship Program Dates: Monday, May 19 – Friday, August 15 Monday, June 2 – Friday August 29 How you’ll contribute During this internship, you will have the opportunity to assist our Data Scientist on various projects. You will provide support for Data exploration and analysis, data collection and cleaning, research machine learning algorithms, and document and communicate findings back to the larger group. Primary Duties will include: Data Exploration & Analysis: Help explore large datasets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and prepare data for further analysis or model development. Data Collection & Cleaning: Help gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets to ensure they are structured and ready for analysis. This includes handling missing values, duplicates, and outliers. Algorithm Research & Development: Assist in researching and implementing new machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data processing techniques to solve specific business challenges. Reporting and Communication: Writing clear and concise reports summarizing data analysis findings and presenting them to stakeholders. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with senior data scientists to gather requirements, document processes, and contribute to team meetings and discussions For this role, you will need Minimum Requirements Must be actively enrolled in a college program, pursuing a computer science degree or a similar field of study. Must have experience with Python and SQL Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite in the Durham, NC office Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite The salary for this position ranges from $24.00 to $24.00 per hour.
