The selected intern will need to report onsite at the RTP office for the entire duration of the program which runs from May through August 2025. United Therapeutics does not provide housing or transportation. A stipend for relocation assistance may be provided on a case-by-case basis. Interns are responsible for arranging their housing and transportation. A relocation stipend may be provided for non-local candidates. Determinations will be made on a case-by-case basis. 2025 Internship Program Dates: Monday, May 19 – Friday, August 15 Monday, June 2 – Friday August 29 How you’ll contribute Evaluate, research, and analyze contract submissions to ensure all appropriate documents and supporting documentation are included. Facilitate processing of contracts for assigned area of responsibility and ensure departmental leadership understands the terms they agree to. Initiate and manage the preparation of documents necessary to fulfill contract requirements. For example, examine request for applicability of contract amendments. In accordance with approved business strategies, and in alignment with UTC Contracting Policy, review/prepare contractual documents and liaise between internal stakeholders (i.e. Legal team) and vendors as directed. Work with organization to establish goals and ensure each contract meets these objectives and conforms to business requirements. Maintain continuous surveillance of status and progress of the contract request and potential areas of difficulty. Escalate to manager to ensure compliance with timelines/corporate policies. Accurately log required metrics data to ensure timely submission of executed contracts. Ensure end-user and/or Vendor satisfaction with the contracting process. Liaise frequently with vendors, internal customers and stakeholders including the Operations and Legal teams. Serve as contract liaison for vendors as needed for questions, contract changes, and obtaining signatures and approvals. Coordinate with FBO PO team to submit completed contract documentation to facilitate the issuance of a PO and distribution to vendor. Leverage completed contract documentation, submit PO Requests (PORs) on behalf of Budget Manager ensuring all required corporate policies/procedures are followed. Concurrent with PO Request submission, facilitate contract execution as outlined in UTC Contracting Policy. Assist in directed implementation of enhancements to existing policies and practices to address changing internal and external contracting requirements. Proactively update desktop procedures in alignment with process/system enhancements and deployments. Participate in ad-hoc projects in partnership with FPA, Outsourcing, AP, and Vendor Maintenance. Perform all other duties as required. For this role you will need Minimum Requirements For Intern Level: Must actively be a college student (including rising sophomores or those pursuing a 2-year degree). Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite in the RTP office Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite The salary for this position ranges from $22.00 to $22.00 per hour.
