Customer Account Manager

Position Overview
Reporting to the Head of PMO (Program Management Organization), the Account Manager is responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks that often require managing teams of Contractor personnel at multiple locations. Provide overall direction of program activities. Manage and maintain Contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization. Consult with customer and Contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations. Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show the progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
· Assist in the preparation and control of records, quotes, statistics and reports
· Effectively communicate daily with customers expedite requests
· Act as the VOC (Voice Of the Customer) to the internal interested parties and as the VOO (Voice Of the Organization) to the customer.
· Provide purchase order status to customers in a daily basis or as requested by Customers.
· Support and encourage our LEAN culture
- Maintain a safe environment
- Follow safety policies without exception
- Maintain an orderly work area and set a daily cleanup schedule
- Maintain and encourage all 6s Lean activities
- Promote product safety by properly handling products
- Be aware of counterfeit product and report suspected product when identified
· Observe company policy, safety and security procedures.
· Perform all activities in conformance with the Customer requirements and UTD Quality System procedures.
· Comply with all company and department housekeeping and safety rules. Report any violations or safety concerns to management promptly.
· Co-ordination of meetings; video and telephone conferences;
· Issuing meeting agendas and distributing any supporting documentation in advance of Program management meetings or Governance forums;
· Producing meeting minutes/notes and updating action logs;
· following up on actions to ensure they are closed-out
Experience and Skills:
· Maintain full ownership of a customer portfolio/orderbook.
· As a strategic advisor to your client base, you will be the “go to” person for customer account needs and support.
· Identify and create multi-level relationships with key decision makers to ensure retention and relationship stability.
· Work cross functionally with other internal departments to meet and exceed client expectations.
· Conduct regular business reviews with your clients to help them understand ROI and connect UTDs provided products and services back to key business matters.
· Monitor and analyze the development as well as strategic progression for all client accounts.
· Prospect internally to propose additional products and services to expand the UTD’s footprint within existing accounts.
· Create strategic account plans as a roadmap to grow customer revenue.
· Protects company and customer information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Proven success in strategic account management, program management or sales
· Resourceful, “go-getter” attitude who appreciates the opportunity in challenge.
· Finds excitement and challenge in being able to successfully partner cross functionally with other departments to get the job done.
· Ability to effectively communicate with senior level decision makers within organizations and successfully handle objections and demonstrate negotiation skills.
Physical demands:
· Shop Floor environment / shared workbench or workstation
· Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
· Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools)
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
· Ability to tolerate constant noise (machine motors)
· Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions
· Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
· Vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Experience/Education Minimum Requirements:
· Experience with Collins RTX products and/or customer account management in a previous role.
· Effective presentation and negotiation skills
· The ability to adapt to new environments and personalities
· A high degree of professionalism and reliability
· Excellent time-management skills with the ability to troubleshoot
· Must be able to function in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
