Position Summary:
This office-based role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with strong project management experience. The Commercial Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from planning through completion. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a proactive approach to scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and stakeholder communication. Site visits will be required to ensure workmanship and safety standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of commercial construction projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timelines are met
- Conduct routine site visits to review progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Resolve project challenges with the project team through proactive strategy and planning
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and project logs
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Participate in project estimating and bid preparation
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to track project performance and adjust plans as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial construction project management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and HousePro software (or similar tools like ProCore)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Solid understanding of construction drawings, building codes, and job site safety
- Willingness to conduct field visits as part of project oversight
- Experience with estimating is preferred
- This is an in-office role only – remote work is not available
