Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, market trends, and economic data.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Generate insightful financial reports and presentations, effectively communicating results and trends to leadership at all levels (financial managers, business leaders, physicians).
- Participate in the budgeting and planning process, identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for revenue growth.
- Build and maintain accurate financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results, providing recommendations for course correction.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor, providing comprehensive financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization (finance, business, and medical departments).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial implications of business initiatives and investments.
- Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activity, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and maintain strong internal controls.
- Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in finance or accounting.
- Experience in a healthcare environment desirable but not required.
- Proven experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tool experience desirable but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and draw conclusions from data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly, concisely, and compellingly to diverse audiences (financial managers, business leaders, physicians).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas and functions), PowerPoint, and financial modeling software.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues across different departments.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial markets.
- High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
