Position Summary:
The Surgical Poster Manager oversees Surgical Posters, Surgical Poster Coordinators, and ASC Front Desk Coordinators. This role manages all aspects of surgical scheduling, preoperative coordination, and ASC front desk operations to streamline workflows and enhance patient care. The manager also optimizes processes, strengthens patient communication, and collaborates with physicians and staff to improve efficiency and the overall patient experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the surgical poster and surgical poster coordinator teams.
- Set performance expectations and provide training and professional development.
- Standardize workflows to improve efficiency and reduce scheduling errors.
- Oversee scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring alignment with physician preferences and ASC availability.
- Ensure all clinically appropriate and eligible cases are directed to the ASC when possible.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of preoperative requirements (testing, clearances, authorizations).
- Optimize block time utilization and minimize no-show rates.
- Ensure timely, accurate communication with patients regarding surgical procedures.
- Address and resolve patient concerns related to scheduling and preoperative care.
- Generate reports to assess scheduling efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to scheduling practices and patient care documentation.
- Monitor and analyze scheduling trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Audit surgical posters regularly to ensure processes are followed, and scheduling is accurate.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years in surgical scheduling and/or ASC operations.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance.
- Computer proficiency and prior experience with the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is a plus.
- Urology or surgical experience preferred but not essential.

Travel:
- Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
Physical Requirements for the Job:
- Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- May be required to help to transfer the patient.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs.
