Job Summary:
As an Unloader at United Utilities of Georgia, you will be responsible for unloading shipments of goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring that all items are received and handled with care. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain an organized storage area and contribute to the efficient flow of materials in the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, containers, and trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect goods for accuracy, damage, and quality upon arrival.
- Ensure proper documentation for each shipment, including verifying product quantities and identifying discrepancies.
- Assist in organizing and storing materials in the appropriate areas of the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock organization as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks, to move products as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflows and timely unloading processes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and warehouse equipment operation.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.40 - $18.50 per hour
