The Senior Director, Data and Evaluation will lead program evaluation and impact measurement at UWBA, overseeing data initiatives that enhance community impact. This role is responsible for developing evaluation tools and strategies for CIT programs, supporting data-driven decision-making through training, reporting, and database management.
Key responsibilities include driving organizational culture change around data and evaluation, translating complex data into actionable insights, designing a regional learning curriculum, and leading training sessions and external knowledge-sharing. The Senior Director will administer and oversee the Exponent Case Management (Salesforce) database and other CIT-related data systems. The Senior Director will supervise the Research, Data, and Evaluation team which includes the Senior Data Manager, SparkPoint Program Analyst, Community Impact Senior Program Analyst, consultants, and interns.
What you'll do:
- Evaluation & Analysis: Lead the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative program evaluations, lead analysis of program data and public data, develop reporting tools, and share insights to support data-driven decision-making.
- Database Management: Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of data systems, ensure compliance, manage Salesforce data related to community impact (in partnership with Salesforce administrator and Senior Data Manager), support quality assurance, and lead data migrations.
- Regional Learning & Capacity Building: Design and lead training, build partner capacity, and represent UWBA in external collaborations and presentations. Facilitate data-driven learning discussions and create tools, such as Tableau dashboards, to build CIT capacity for data-driven decision-making.
- Fundraising & Grant Support: Lead grant reporting, track impact metrics, and support proposals.
- Team & Budget Management: Supervise staff, oversee budgets, align data strategies with organizational priorities, and manage vendor contracts.
- Organizational Support: Contribute to planning, development, and communications as needed.
- Other duties assigned, dependent on organizational needs and employee skills
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in program evaluation, data management, and data analysis
- 3 years of leading initiatives and supervising teams
- Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or other case management databases, Tableau or other dashboard software, and web-based survey platforms
- Demonstrated commitment to community impact and passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Bay Area non-profit and public sector stakeholders
- Experience in grantmaking, fundraising, or marketing
