United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Teacher Assistant to join our team. As Teacher Assistant, you will support the teacher and co-teacher in planning and implementing lesson plans, incorporating all components of the lesson plan, and leading large and small groups of children. Assist in coordinating and conducting developmental screenings, and health services, and may involve family services, depending on the number of scheduled hours for the position, including family visits and participation in planning, training, and parent meetings.

Education Requirements : A high school diploma or equivalent. Department of Children and Families - 45 hours (as required by the state of Florida) CDA credential within one year of employment.
Experience Requirements : One (1) year of experience working with young children in a group setting.
Technology Requirements : Beginning Internet Explorer, Intermediate Word, Beginning Excel, Beginning Outlook.
Other Essential Knowledge / Skills : Flexibility. Understand concepts around Visible Thinking, Multiple Intelligence, Dual Language, Inclusion, Early Literacy strategies, and Inquiry-Based Learning.
