Position: Facilities Technician
Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities; including but not limited to maintenance and
repair, troubleshooting, documentation, and upkeep.
Responsibilities
? Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks and inspections.
? Diagnose issues with equipment and implement a solution to minimize downtime and disruptions.
? Maintain safe working environment for all visitors and employees.
? Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and future reference.
? Perform general upkeep tasks such as painting, carpentry, furniture assembly, and grounds maintenance.
? Work closely with contractors and vendors to coordinate maintenance, repair, and installations.
? Collaborate with other departments to assist with meeting room set up and package pick-up and delivery.
? Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of building and operating systems
Ability to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and problem solve
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work with a team, time management skills, and attention to details
Basic computer skills
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification Preferred
Experience
Two years of relevant professional work experience
Other:
Valid Alabama driver’s license
Reliable transportation
Proof of automobile insurance commensurate with State law
Normal office hours with occasional overtime and some light travel to satellite offices as needed
