Position Summary

The VP of Technology & Operations is the leader of U nited Way’s technology and operations t eam, serves on the Executive Management Team, and reports to the C hief Operating Officer .
This role provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. The role directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality and business development. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology and systems. This position is a critical member of United Way’s Leadership Team .
Position Duties & Responsibilities

- Oversees the development and implementation of IT / Operations policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring scope, time, cost, and quality objectives are met.
- Manages the design, budgeting, and maintenance of IT systems, including hardware / software acquisition, disaster recovery, security, and data storage. This includes UWCI’s CRM and information management systems as well as all third-party technology inventory, agreements and services .
- Develops IT strategies and plans to meet future organizational needs, setting strategic goals and advocating for necessary resources.
- Ensures system security and privacy, overseeing policy development, risk management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Provides cost-benefit analyses, defines data requirements, and evaluates workflows for process improvements.
- Advises executives on IT / Op erations planning, resource coordination, and the implementation of systems and services.
- Cultivate s and maintain s strategic partnership with key technology vendor, ensuring outsourced functions align with organizational goals and drive mutual success.
- Develop s , coach es , and lead s a high-performing technology team, fostering professional growth and collaboration to achieve operational excellence and innovation.
- Oversees vendor negotiations, strategic IT planning, disaster recovery development, and annual system reviews to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversees Business Center operations.
- Engages with the broader United Way Worldwide network on IT / Operations.
- Sets standards related to data capture, retrieval and storage ; Develops, codifies and enforces data security and integrity standards while monitoring accuracy of data and reporting .
- Responsible for policies and compliance with storage and destruction of records and data .
