We are seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Communications Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns that align with the company's overall business objectives and product management strategy.
- Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline marketing efforts and maximize ROI.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing and advertising, including print advertising and Google advertising.
- Manages creative services to take projects from concept to final product including timeline, budget, production schedule, content development, approvals, etc.
- Directs and monitors the use of the United Way of Central Louisiana logo and brand identification and other trademarked/copyrighted materials – internally and externally - to ensure consistent, appropriate usage on all materials throughout the organization and in external communications.
- Oversees quality control of all marketing and collateral materials, such as video production, annual report, pledge cards, brochures, etc.
- Manages development of marketing support for annual donor campaign including printed materials, donor communication plans, digital presentations, direct mail and events.
- Takes leadership role in assisting the CEO with the development and implementation of materials that support UWCL strategic and tactical goals, including special events, advertising and other promotional and educational materials; interfacing with internal and/or external resources and managing projects to meet deadlines.
- Assists in the development and implementation of targeted communication strategies that support the United Way of Central Louisiana business plan and commitment to individual engagement through CRM efforts in messaging and delivery.
- Leads the day-to-day marketing functional workflow through design, content, accuracy, quality, and timeliness of materials and communications.
§ Assists CEO to identify opportunities and implement policies, procedures, schedules and assignments to continuously improve internal processes to make the most effective and efficient use of resources to support organizational goals and objectives.
§ Supports CEO in working toward the goals and objectives of the United Way of Central Louisiana by managing marketing budget; undertakes other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Communications, or related Field. College degree plus two years relevant experience in marketing and communications.
- Solid understanding of the full portfolio of media and communications opportunities, including advertising/broad-based communications, CRM, public relations, new and social media, e-communications, direct mail, etc.
- Two years’ experience working with people with diverse visions; capable of bringing groups of people together to accomplish specific tasks and goals.
- Excellent writing skills. Must be able to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively for a broad audience as well as tailor communications that effectively connect with diverse audiences.
- Well-organized, detail oriented, ability to prioritize, and able to work well with people across various departments and levels of the organization and contribute as a team member.
- Must be able to take initiative, create and execute strategies, demonstrate leadership, work independently.
- Ability to balance a variety of perspectives within a politically sensitive environment with proven ability to rapidly establish and maintain credibility in relationships such as with board members, community members, volunteers, and internal audiences.
- Ability to analyze and exercise sound judgment.
- Computer/Office Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, In-design, Canva, and video editing.
- Knowledge of human service system helpful.
