OVERVIEW :
The Administrator is primarily responsible for Salesforce / CRM development work in a Scrum project environment. The Salesforce / CRM Development Team is responsible for achieving the goals of each development cycle; attending daily team meetings; coordinating with other team members; sharing and learning skills relevant to development cycle goals; participating in Scrum events; and working to improve the performance of Development Team.
The Salesforce / CRM Development Team is responsible for a variety of responses to sprint goals and user stories, software implementation, software upgrades, production of training materials, conducting training sessions, developing documentation, and other activities that would add value to the organization during a development cycle.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Works with Development Team Members, Product Owners, and the Team Manager through Scrum pillars, events, artifacts, and values to develop software and supporting materials (training content, documentation, infrastructure development) to meet development cycle goals. This work includes learning new skills and sharing knowledge with team members to steadily improve the team's capacity. Most of the development work is expected to take place in a Salesforce instance, but other forms of development will be required at times as legacy applications, add-on applications, data management tools, data visualization / reporting tools, and other pieces are a part of the United Way of Greater Houston infrastructure. Achieving a functional increment of value each development cycle is expected to acquire constant learning of new skills.
- Works with other parts of the organization on understanding the correct way to interact with the Development Team through Product Owners and to assist Product Owners in developing product and development cycle backlogs that will create the workflow for the Development Team. Works with vendors and contractors as needed to achieve development cycle goals.
- Works with all Development Team Members to improve internal team processes and develop internal best practices for the UWGH implementation of Scrum.
- Works with the other members of the Innovation & Data Management Department on other issues such as data hygiene, data management, software procurement, and long-term project roadmap planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
